Khatam-ul-Auliya | خَاتَم اَلأولِیاء
Seal of the Saints – Wali-al-Akhir-az-Zamañ (synonym)
Seal of Sainthood Until End of Times. (common)
The Last Saint (literal)
It will become easier to understand the context once we understand the root word and similar-sounding words:
- KHaatam – خاتَم which means certificate or KHat خَت. This is its root word for Khatam-ul-Auliya.
- KHaatim – خاتِم means someone who brings finality or an end. We can think of Prophet Muhammad (saw) as a KHatim of Prophets (Khatim-ul-Anbiya). This is NOT what Khatam-ul-Auliya means.
- KHatm – خَتْم also means the conclusion or end of an action, event, or era.
